Methodology and astrological context for Shodya Pinda.
Computes the Shodya Pinda for each of the seven classical planets in a person's Vedic birth chart — the final and most refined planetary strength score in the Ashtakavarga system, derived by combining the Graha Gunak (planet multiplier) and Rasi Gunak (sign multiplier) into a single authoritative index that represents the net, fully weighted Ashtakavarga strength of each planet.
Shodya Pinda is the culminating calculation of the classical Ashtakavarga methodology. After the raw Bhinnashtakavarga scores have been computed, refined through Trikon Shodhan and Ekadhipatya Shodhan, and then weighted through the Graha Gunak and Rasi Gunak multipliers, the Shodya Pinda synthesizes these layers into a single final score per planet.
In classical Vedic texts, the Shodya Pinda is computed by taking the Graha Gunak of a planet (the product of the planet's own reduced bindu score in its natal house and the fully reduced Sarvashtakavarga score of that house) and further refining it using the Rasi Gunak of the sign the planet occupies (the product of the reduced Sarvashtakavarga score of that sign and the number of planets in it). The resulting Shodya Pinda represents the most complete and nuanced measure of a planet's Ashtakavarga-backed strength — accounting for its own bindu contribution, the aggregate house strength, and the activation level of the sign it inhabits.
A planet with a high Shodya Pinda is considered exceptionally well-supported by the Ashtakavarga framework and is expected to deliver strong, positive results during its dasha periods and transits. A planet with a low Shodya Pinda is considered weakly positioned in the Ashtakavarga sense, regardless of other chart factors, and may underdeliver during its periods.
This endpoint computes the full birth chart from the provided date, time, and geographic coordinates, executes the entire Ashtakavarga pipeline — raw computation, Trikon Shodhan, Ekadhipatya Shodhan, Graha Gunak, Rasi Gunak — and delivers the final Shodya Pinda for each planet in a single response.
