KP House Significator
The KP House Significator endpoint is a core analytical tool within the Krishnamurti Paddhati (KP) astrology system. It computes the complete significator matrix for all 12 houses of a birth chart — the foundational data structure upon which all KP-based predictions and event timing are built.
What This API Does
Given a person's birth details (date, time, and geographic coordinates), this endpoint calculates which planets are significators of each of the 12 astrological houses, and conversely, which houses each planet signifies. The computation follows the classical KP rules of significatorship:
- Occupant: A planet physically placed in a house directly signifies that house.
- Owner (Sign Lord): The planet that rules the zodiac sign on the cusp of a house signifies that house.
- Star Lord of Occupant: A planet whose nakshatra (star) is occupied by a planet placed in a house signifies that house.
- Star Lord of Owner: A planet whose nakshatra is occupied by the house lord also becomes a significator of that house.
Each significator is returned along with its level or type of significatorship, making it possible to rank and prioritize planets for prediction purposes.
What Data It Returns
- House-wise significator lists: For each of the 12 houses, a list of planets that signify it, along with the nature/level of their connection (occupant, owner, star lord link, etc.).
- Planet-wise house lists: A reverse mapping showing, for each planet, the set of houses it signifies — essential for Dasha lord analysis.
