SEARCH ASTRO INSIGHT API DOCS
The Pratyantar Vimshottari Dasha API provides Vimshottari Dasha related calculations and insights based on Vedic Astrology principles. This endpoint is designed for astrology applications, report generation systems, horoscope platforms, and developer integrations requiring structured JSON responses and reliable REST API access.
Returns the complete sequence of Pratyantardasha (sub-sub-period) divisions within a specified Vimshottari Antardasha — the third and finest level of the Vimshottari Dasha hierarchy used in Jyotish natal predictive analysis. Each Antardasha is further subdivided into nine Pratyantardashas, one for each planet in the Vimshottari sequence, producing sub-periods that typically span days to a few weeks. The Pratyantardasha level provides the highest resolution timing available within the Vimshottari system, enabling practitioners to pinpoint the most precise calendar windows for specific events or shifts in planetary influence within an already-narrowed Antardasha period.
This endpoint accepts an individual's birth details along with two path parameters — majorDashaKey specifying the Mahadasha lord and antarDashaKey specifying the Antardasha lord — and computes the complete Pratyantardasha breakdown within that specific Mahadasha–Antardasha combination. It calculates the precise start and end dates of all nine Pratyantardasha sub-sub-periods, ordered according to the Vimshottari sequence starting from the Antardasha lord, with durations proportionally derived from the Antardasha's own length and each sub-sub-lord's standard Vimshottari allocation. The endpoint also evaluates the natal chart condition of each Pratyantardasha lord and the multi-level inter-lord relationships across all three dasha levels, providing the interpretive context needed to assess the quality and likely themes of each fine-grained sub-sub-period.
The response provides the complete Pratyantardasha breakdown for the specified Mahadasha–Antardasha combination:
Full Pratyantardasha sequence — the ordered list of all nine sub-sub-periods within the specified Antardasha, following the Vimshottari sequence starting from the Antardasha lord
Period start and end dates — precise calendar dates (and optionally times) marking the beginning and end of each Pratyantardasha sub-sub-period
Period duration — the length of each Pratyantardasha in days, calculated proportionally from the Antardasha's length and each sub-sub-lord's Vimshottari allocation
Three-level dasha context — the identity and natal condition of all three governing lords (Mahadasha, Antardasha, and each Pratyantardasha lord), providing the full hierarchical context for interpretation
Pratyantardasha lord identity and natal position — the planet governing each sub-sub-period, along with its zodiac sign, degree, house placement, nakshatra, and dignity in the natal chart
Multi-level inter-lord relationship assessments — evaluations of the relationships between the Pratyantardasha lord and both the Antardasha lord and the Mahadasha lord, since all three levels of planetary influence are simultaneously active during each sub-sub-period
Currently active Pratyantardasha — identification of which sub-sub-period is currently active within the specified Antardasha, if that Antardasha is currently running
Sub-sub-period significance indicators — summary assessments of each Pratyantardasha's likely tone based on the sub-sub-lord's natal condition and its relationships with the governing lords at the two higher levels
Highest-resolution event timing — pinpointing the most precise calendar windows within a given Antardasha for specific events or shifts in planetary influence, going beyond the multi-month granularity of Antardasha analysis to week-level precision
Jyotish practitioners — drilling into the Pratyantardasha level for clients who need fine-grained timing for imminent events, particularly when the Mahadasha and Antardasha context has already been established and a more precise window is needed
Astrology platforms and apps — powering the deepest level of dasha drill-down in timeline features, allowing users to explore the full three-level Vimshottari hierarchy for any period in their natal chart
Current sub-sub-period identification — determining exactly which Pratyantardasha is active right now within the current Antardasha, providing the most granular real-time dasha reference available in the Vimshottari system
Three-level confluence analysis — identifying Pratyantardasha periods where the sub-sub-lord's themes align with or reinforce those of both the Antardasha and Mahadasha lords, creating high-confidence windows for specific types of events
Transit correlation — combining the active Pratyantardasha lord with simultaneous planetary transits over sensitive natal points to identify the most precisely timed windows for event manifestation
Retroactive event analysis — mapping past events onto the Pratyantardasha timeline to understand the three-level dasha combination that was active at the time, deepening interpretive understanding of how the Vimshottari hierarchy operates in practice
Accepts two path parameters — majorDashaKey and antarDashaKey — enabling direct targeting of the Pratyantardasha breakdown for any specific Mahadasha–Antardasha combination without requiring the caller to navigate the full dasha hierarchy sequentially
Computes all nine Pratyantardasha sub-sub-periods within the specified Antardasha in a single response, providing the complete fine-grained timeline rather than only the currently active or near-term sub-sub-periods
Calculates precise start and end dates for each Pratyantardasha using the standard Vimshottari proportional formula applied at the third level, anchored to the individual's birth-determined dasha timeline
Returns three-level inter-lord relationship data — assessing the Pratyantardasha lord's relationship with both the Antardasha lord and the Mahadasha lord simultaneously — since all three planetary influences are concurrently active and their mutual relationships collectively determine the sub-sub-period's quality
Identifies the currently active Pratyantardasha within the specified Antardasha (when that Antardasha is currently running), providing the most granular real-time dasha reference in the Vimshottari system
Returns natal chart context for each Pratyantardasha lord — including sign, house, dignity, and nakshatra — so the sub-sub-period timeline is interpretively enriched rather than being a bare list of dates
Accepts only birth details (date, time, and place of birth) with no current location required, since Pratyantardasha calculation is based entirely on the natal chart
Supports multiple Ayanamsha systems (e.g., Lahiri, Raman, KP) via the X-Ayanamsha header, since planetary positions and nakshatra placements — and therefore the entire dasha timeline — vary by sidereal reference frame
Designed for localization — the Accept-Language header controls the language of planet names, nakshatra names, relationship labels, and all descriptive content in the response
Serves as the third and finest level of the Vimshottari Dasha hierarchy, intended to be used after the Major and Antar Vimshottari Dasha endpoints have established the relevant Mahadasha and Antardasha context, providing the maximum timing resolution available within the Vimshottari system
🌐 API responses available in 3 regional languages. Pass Accept-Languageparameter in request header with language code.
