The Extended Panchang Chart Image Sunrise API provides Panchang related calculations and insights based on Vedic Astrology principles. This endpoint is designed for astrology applications, report generation systems, horoscope platforms, and developer integrations requiring structured JSON responses and reliable REST API access.
The Extended Panchang Chart Image Sunrise API is the most comprehensive endpoint in the Panchang chart image family. It generates a rendered visual image of an extended Panchang chart where all Vedic almanac data is anchored to the local sunrise of the given date and location. It unifies three capabilities in a single call: the richer extended Panchang dataset, the traditional sunrise-relative computation, and a fully customisable server-side chart rendering engine.
This endpoint accepts a date, time, timezone, and geographic coordinates, automatically determines the local sunrise for that date and location, and computes a full extended Panchang using sunrise as the reference point. The Ayanamsha system specified in the request header is applied throughout all sidereal calculations. The resulting extended, sunrise-anchored Panchang data is then rendered into a styled chart image according to the visual configuration parameters provided in the request body. The API returns a finished chart image, handling astronomical computation, sunrise determination, and visual rendering entirely on the server.
The response delivers a rendered extended Panchang chart image in which all displayed data is both sunrise-anchored and drawn from the extended Panchang computation. The image includes:
Extended Panchang Chart Layout — A structured chart diagram in the chosen regional style (North Indian, South Indian, or East Indian), populated with the full extended Panchang dataset computed from the local sunrise moment
Zodiac Signs — Displayed within the chart as traditional astrological symbols or as numbers, depending on the signSymbol setting
Planetary Positions at Sunrise — Planets placed within the chart according to their sidereal positions at the local sunrise, shown as symbols or abbreviated names based on the planetSymbol setting
Extended Astrological Elements — The additional data layers of the extended Panchang — enriched Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga, Karana, muhurta breakdowns, and detailed planetary data — all anchored to sunrise and rendered into the chart
Rendered Visual Elements — Chart borders, inner and outer grid lines, sign labels, and planet labels, all styled according to the provided color, size, and line-width configuration
Authoritative Traditional Panchang Charts — Generating chart images that combine the maximum level of Vedic astrological detail with strict adherence to the classical sunrise-anchored almanac convention, suitable for authoritative religious and astrological publications
Advanced Jyotish & Consultation Platforms — Providing astrologers with the most detailed sunrise-based Panchang chart image available, incorporating the extended dataset for in-depth daily analysis and client consultations
Comprehensive Horoscope Report Generation — Including a fully detailed, sunrise-accurate extended Panchang chart image in PDF or web-based horoscope and almanac reports
Hindu Calendar & Almanac Applications — Displaying the richest possible daily Panchang chart that matches both the data depth and the sunrise-relative convention of traditional printed almanacs
Muhurta & Auspicious Timing Tools — Generating chart images that reflect the extended muhurta and timing data anchored to sunrise, for practitioners who require the highest precision in identifying auspicious windows
Religious Institutions & Panchang Publishers — Producing authoritative, visually branded Panchang chart images for distribution to communities, temples, and devotees who rely on sunrise-based almanac data
Sunrise-Anchored Extended Computation — All Panchang elements in the chart are computed from the local sunrise moment using the extended dataset, combining the precision of sunrise anchoring with the depth of the extended Panchang calculation
Automatic Sunrise Determination — The API internally calculates the precise local sunrise for the given date, latitude, and longitude, requiring no separate sunrise input from the caller
Extended Dataset Rendering — Renders the richer extended Panchang dataset into the chart image, incorporating additional astrological layers beyond those available in the standard Panchang chart image endpoints
Multiple Chart Styles — Supports North Indian, South Indian, and East Indian chart layouts via the chartStyle parameter, catering to regional Vedic astrology traditions
Full Visual Customisation — Exposes granular control over every visual aspect of the chart: background color (bgColor), inner and outer line colors and widths (innerLineColor, outerLineColor, innerLineWidth, outerLineWidth), sign color (signColor), planet color (planetColor), chart size (chartSize), and font sizes for signs and planets (signFontSize, planetFontSize)
Symbol or Text Display — Signs can be rendered as traditional astrological symbols or as numbers (signSymbol), and planets can be shown as symbols or their abbreviated names (planetSymbol), giving flexibility for different audiences
Server-Side Rendering — The entire chart is rendered on the server, so clients receive a finished image with no dependency on client-side graphics libraries or rendering engines
Ayanamsha Flexibility — Planetary positions within the chart are computed using the Ayanamsha system specified via the X-Ayanamsha header, ensuring compatibility with different schools of Vedic astrology
Location-Aware Precision — Sunrise time and all derived extended Panchang data are calculated for the exact latitude, longitude, and timezone provided, guaranteeing geographic accuracy for any location globally
Multi-Language Support — The Accept-Language header allows sign and planet labels within the chart to be rendered in the preferred language, supporting regional and international audiences
🌐 API responses available in 3 regional languages. Pass Accept-Languageparameter in request header with language code.
